On December 13, the second joint online meeting of representatives of the “UkrRIS-Danube” project and the European project “RIS-COMEX2” was held. Such meetings are held on a regular basis - monthly. Representatives of the “UkrRIS-Danube” project were representatives of the SE “UKRVODSHLIAH”, SE “Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration”, State Hydrography Service of Ukraine and PJSC “Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company”. Representatives of the “UkrRIS-Danube” project Illya Tykhonov and “RIS-COMEX2” Mario Kaufmann presented road maps for project development plans to enable coordination in their implementation. At the meeting, representatives of “RIS-COMEX2” gave a presentation on the tasks, functions and powers of the ECMA (European Corridor Management Agreement), as well as information on the experience of the Danube countries that have already implemented RIS systems in recent years. The participants of the meeting decided that the representatives of “RIS-COMEX2” will make a presentation at the next meeting demonstrating the principles of construction and functioning of the EuRIS system. Separately, issues regarding the procedure for assigning and displaying RIS indexes of objects on the inland waterways were discussed. VIADONAU experts provided answers to numerous questions from representatives of the “UkrRIS-Danube” project in this area. The participants of the meeting noted with satisfaction that all decisions made at the previous meeting were fully implemented. The next joint meeting is scheduled for January 17, 2025.
