On November 29, 2024, a High-Level Dialogue for Ukraine was held in Kyiv as part of the International Transport Forum. The key goal of this event is to develop practical solutions to help Ukraine restore and develop its transport infrastructure. The event was attended by representatives of the European Commission, international financial organizations and representatives of more than 20 countries. The participants of the Dialogue agreed to strengthen support for restoration and declared a common desire to develop new logistics routes using all modes of transport and Ukraine's strategic ties with Europe. Also during the event, Magda Kopczynska, Director General of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Transport and Mobility, announced the completion of the signing of grant agreements and, accordingly, the approval of financing for four Ukrainian transport infrastructure development projects under the European Union's Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program. This amounts to EUR 52 million for the development of railways, road crossing points, the Ukr Ris Danube Project and support for air navigation. Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba emphasized that receiving these grants allows us to move towards Ukraine's integration into the European transport space. One of these projects is the project "Ukrainian River Information Service on the Danube River (UkrRIS-Danube)". The project consists in creating and implementing a river information service on the Ukrainian part of the Danube River, including its integration into the EuRIS portal and the European CEERIS reporting system, as well as ensuring an appropriate level of navigation safety and providing harmonized information services to vessels on inland waterways. During the event, Magda Kopchynska solemnly presented the Director of the State Enterprise "Ukrvodshlyakh" Yuriy Pushenko with a certificate confirming the EU funding of this Project under the Grant Agreement between the State Enterprise of Waterways "UKRVODSHLYAKH" and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).
