On April, 9-10, 2025, the 103-rd meeting of the Working Group on Legal and Financial Matters of the Danube Commission (DC) was held in Budapest. The meeting was attended by representatives of the DC, the Central Commission for Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR) and Danube region countries. The Ukrainian delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shipping Administration, SE "Ukrainian Sea Ports Authorities", SE "Ukrainian Shipping Register", Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company. The SE "UKRVODSHLIAH was presented by Head of the River Information Service, Captain Illya Tykhonov. The meeting discussed legal matters related to Danube navigation, in particular the revision of the Danube River Conference of 1948, the application of the Belgrade Convention, cooperation with international organizations, and the practical implementation of European navigation legislation on the Danube. Issues related to the functioning of the DC were discussed: a report on the budget execution in 2024, optimization of DC expenses, changes in the DC structure and staff, development of new internal regulations and qualification requirements for personnel, etc. In accordance with the decisions taken at the 102-nd meeting of this group in November 2024 at the proposal of the Ukrainian side, russian language was removed from the languages officially used by the DC. At today's meeting first time sinchroneus interpretation was carried out only in English and German.
