Meeting of the “UkrRIS-Danube” project on compliance with cybersecurity requirements during the implementation of the Project

Joint meeting of the “UkrRIS-Danube” project representatives on the implementation of cybersecurity requirements during the implementation of the Project On March 11-th, 2025, the SE “UKRVODSHLYAKH” organized and held a meeting of the “UkrRIS-Danube” project participants on cybersecurity issues within the framework of the implementation of the Work package WP7 “RIS deployment enablers” of the Project. The meeting was attended by participants of the “UkrRIS-Danube” project: SE “UKRVODSHLYAKH”, SE “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority”, branch “Ukrmorcartography” of the State Hydrographic Service of Ukraine, “Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company”, company “TECHNOLUTION B.V.” (Netherlands), as well as a representative of the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine. The main topic for discussion was the issue of ensuring the requirements of EU and Ukrainian legislation on cybersecurity during the implementation of the Project, their combination and implementation. Representatives of “TECHNOLUTION B.V.” Paul van Koningsbruggen and Dave Marples gave a presentation on the implementation of European information protection requirements, as well as their application during the implementation of the Project. Representatives of the State Enterprise “UKRVODSHLYAKH” further provided information on the current legislation of Ukraine on cybersecurity, a comparison of Ukrainian legislation and European standards, as well as Ukraine’s experience in the field of cyber defense, gained in recent years during war period. Based on the results of the discussion, the following decisions were made: 1. To hold joint meetings in the near future to discuss issues related to the quality of information provided in the RIS, as well as the reliability of digital communication. 2. To identify stakeholders in the Danube Navigation involved in introducing cybersecurity measures. 3. To prepare a draft of Cybersecurity Framework for the implementation of the Project and provide it for consideration to all Project participants.
