On February 14-th, 2025, the SE “UKRVODSHLIAH” organized and held the fourth online meeting of representatives of the “UkrRIS-Danube” project and the European project “RIS-COMEX2”. From side of the “UkrRIS-Danube” in the meeting participated representatives of the SE “UKRVODSHLIAH”, the “Delta-Pilot” branch of the SE “Sea Ports Authorities of Ukraine”, the State Hydrography Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company From the European side participated representatives of the “RIS-COMEX2”, Viadonau, the Ministry of of Infrastructure and Water Resources of the Netherlands (Rijkswaterstaat), Technolution B.V. The results of the implementation of the decisions of the previous meeting were summarized. It was noted that all decisions of previous meetings are being implemented in full scope. The representative of Viadonau presented questions regarding the principles of construction and operation of the EuRIS system, as well as the functions and RIS data submitted to EuRIS. Information exchange and reporting between vessels, port services and RIS is carried out through the Central and Eastern European Electronic Reporting Information System (CEERIS). In the process of implementing the UkrRIS-Danube Project, Ukraine will need to join CEERIS in the future. A representative of the Technolution B.V. presented the issues on ensuring the quality of data transmission in EuRIS, ensuring reliable digital communication, as well as the relevance of the information provided. After presentation issues regarding data protection during the circulation of information in RIS were discussed. The participants of the meeting discussed issues regarding the specifics of the functions and responsibilities of VTS (Vessel Traffic Services) and VTT (Vessel Tracking and Tracing) for the purposes of RIS, as well as determining the differences between them. The next meeting is scheduled for 14-th of March, 2025.
